BREAKING
Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) copies Snapchat and its famed disappearing photos.
STORY
Facebook Inc. has used its Instagram property to create Instagram Stories, a feature that allows users to share media, like photos and video, that have a life span of no more than 24 hours, which copies exactly the defining feature of Snapchat.
“
The service bears a striking resemblance — some might say it is a carbon copy — to Snapchat Stories, a photo- and video-sharing format where the stories also disappear after no more than 24 hours.

In fact, the wholly owned subsidiary of Facebook Inc., Instagram, openly said "other companies deserve all the credit" for the discovery, implementation and popularization of the disappearing photos.
While Facebook Inc. has made repeated attempts to acquire and copy Snapchat, the latest data shows that Facebook Inc. is actually winning the battle with the pesky upstart, as reported by CML Pro.
While the narrative has long been a cautionary one to Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) surrounding the threat that Snapchat poses, perhaps the opposite is true. We must consider the possibility that Snapchat is the one with the existential risk, and Facebook Inc. may be in control.
